A few things to know before you join.

What can I make today?

Studio currently supports text-led novels, memoirs, and nonfiction. It exports EPUB books and PDF interior proofs with guided KDP paperback checks. Complex illustrated interiors, automatic publisher submission, and guaranteed publisher acceptance are not included.

The current export templates support English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch. Writing can contain other languages, but the available fonts and layout have not been validated for every script.

How much can I keep in Studio?

Free early access includes up to 3 Studio-enabled projects, including archived projects. Your free Author workspace can separately hold 100 project titles and notes. Existing paid or gifted Studio access retains up to 100 Studio projects. Each manuscript supports 300 chapters or notes, up to 1.5 million text characters and 1.9 MB of formatted document data. We test with a 200,000-word novel; the exact word capacity depends on language and formatting. Long imports can be divided into smaller sections automatically. Free early access includes 250 MB (250,000,000 bytes) of private file storage across your Studio projects, including originals and pending uploads, for up to 2,000 files. A file must fit in your remaining allowance. Paid or gifted Studio access retains 10 GB and a 1 GB per-file limit, with a space-used meter and resumable uploads. Importing a DOCX or text file into editable chapters has a separate 5 MB processing limit.

Studio keeps 12 recent changed versions per project and up to 8 named save points per project, within a separate 25 MB account allowance. Plus cloud-library storage is a separate paid benefit and does not count toward Studio usage.

Already a Founders or Plus member?

You can start free Studio early access without changing your existing membership. Its billing and benefits remain separate. New paid Studio purchases and upgrades are paused while the free offer is active.

What if early access changes?

There is no scheduled end date. If we later end free editing, your account will show a notice to acknowledge, with at least 14 days to keep editing after that acknowledgment and at least 30 more days to read and download your work without payment. Early-access manuscripts are held out of automatic paid-membership removal. This is not a promise of indefinite storage; any later removal needs a separate policy and notices. Keep your own backups.

What about an existing paid Studio subscription?

Cancel renewal in your account at any time. Keep Studio editing through your paid period. After your paid Studio period ends, you have 30 days to read and download your writing and project files. We email you when the window starts, about seven days before removal, and again about one day before. Renew before removal begins to keep your work. Otherwise, Studio contents are permanently removed after the window and confirmed reminders. Your free account and free project notes stay. Check your deadline in My plan & access, and keep your own backups.

Are my projects public?

No. Saving or exporting a draft does not publish it, send it to an AI service, or submit it to the Community Library. That library has a separate submission and review process. You keep ownership of your work.

Your next chapter can start here.

You don’t need a second login. Enable your Author workspace, create a project, and choose Write & organize.
