ROOTED HERE. OPEN TO EVERYONE.
About the House
A PLACE TO READ, CREATE, AND BELONG
Stories bring us together.
Chautauqua Ink House is a gathering place for readers, writers, and artists. Come for a book, stay for a conversation, or share something you’ve made.
You can explore the shelves, join the Reading Circle, get to know other members, and bring your own work to the Community Library. You don’t have to be a published author or an experienced artist to find your place here.
We’re rooted in Chautauqua, New York, and open to people everywhere. The House grows through the stories, ideas, and conversations its community brings to it.

HOW THE HOUSE BEGAN
A small beginning. A shared future.
Shawn and Bria started the House with the stories and artwork they wanted to share. Their books and creative rooms are still here, alongside a growing space for everyone else’s voice.
They continue to look after the House and make things of their own. You’re welcome to visit their rooms, meet the wider community, and make yourself at home.
