🏡 Big Plans for Our Little House

A message from Shawn & Bria

We’re building Chautauqua Ink House to be more than a website—a creative home where you can read, explore, connect, and always find a reason to return. We know we’re ambitious, but we’re excited about what this House can become with your support.

Here’s what we’re working on: expanding our library of original books, classics, and interactive fiction; developing Story Mode; improving member profiles, avatars, and rewards; and strengthening our forums, friendships, and messaging. Alongside it all are INK HOUSE RADIO, featuring House-exclusive music, and our Creative Rooms, where we share upcoming projects and behind-the-scenes work.

We’re also working on the less visible—but equally important—details: faster loading, smoother navigation, better mobile layouts, and more reliable chat, reading, and audio controls. Making what’s already here work better matters just as much as adding something new.

A Little Understanding Behind the Scenes

There isn’t an entire development team behind the platform. Right now, all website development and technical work are handled by Shawn. It’s been a monumental learning experience, with new systems to learn, problems to troubleshoot, and improvements to test along the way.

Please keep that in mind when it comes to response times, fixes, and new features. Some changes are straightforward; others take considerable work behind the scenes. There will be bugs and occasional hiccups as we grow, but we’re committed to addressing them—not overlooking them. We can’t promise immediate fixes or implement every suggestion, and we appreciate your patience as we prioritize the work.

Help Us Build a Better House

Encounter an issue or have a feature you’d love to see? Please head to the Forums and create a topic. For bugs, tell us what happened, which page you were on, and what device you were using. Screenshots are helpful, too—just leave out any private information.

Your feedback helps shape what comes next. Thank you for exploring, encouraging us, and being part of this learning experience.

Big ambitions. One step at a time. A House we’re building together.
